A blood grouping program was successfully conducted at Kharpani Secondary School, located in Ward No. 4 of Doramba, Sailung Rural Municipality. The initiative aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of knowing their blood group and understanding blood compatibility.
The session was led by Resham Shyantang, a lab technician from DCWC Community Hospital. During the program, students were informed and guided about why blood group identification matters and which blood groups can donate to or receive from others. The session was interactive and helped students clearly understand a topic that can be crucial in emergencies.
With the support of hospital management, especially Tul Bahadur Lama, the program was carried out smoothly and effectively.
A total of 72 students, from Nursery to Class 10, participated in the program. Among them, 31 were boys and 41 were girls. Each student had their blood group identified during the session.
At the end of the program, Nursing In-charge Saradha Karki highlighted the importance of keeping blood group record safe. She encouraged all students to take care of their blood group cards, as they can be very helpful in critical situations.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the disciplined students, the school management committee, and the teachers for their support and cooperation in making this program a success.
